Aaron Schutt

Schutt (Koyukon Athabascan)is president and CEO of Doyon, Limited, the Alaska Native regional corporation for Interior Alaska. His responsibilities include working with the Board of Directors to set the overall direction of the Doyon Family of Companies, a portfolio of more than a dozen for-profit corporations that do business in oil and gas services, government contracting, tourism, and natural resource development. Schutt has also served as Doyon’s senior vice president and chief operating officer.

Prior to Doyon, Schutt was an attorney at the Anchorage offices of Sonosky, Chambers, Sachse, Miller & Munson, LLP and Heller Ehrman, LLP, where he represented tribal and ANCSA corporation clients. 

Schutt serves as a director of Northrim Bank, the board chair of ANCSA Regional Association and Akeela, Inc., and co-chair of the University of Alaska Fairbanks Troth Yeddha’ Legacy Initiative. He is a former vice board chair of the Alaska Native Heritage Center and has been named to Native Business Magazine’s “Top Thirty CEOs in Indian Country” and Alaska Junior Achievement’s Alaska Business Hall of Fame. In addition to his Stanford degrees, Schutt graduated with honors and as an S. Town Stephenson scholar from Washington State University with a bachelor’s in civil engineering.
